Governor Rick Scott Appoints Five to Florida Concrete Masonry Education Council
 
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the reappointment of two and the appointment of three to the Florida Concrete Masonry Education Council.

Kelly Curtis, 47, of Windermere, is the vice president and general manager of Prestige Concrete Products VCNA. He is reappointed for a term beginning January 31, 2017, and ending June 30, 2019.

Darryl Fales, 46, of Estero, is the president of Preferred Materials - Concrete Division. He succeeds Bernardo Diaz and is appointed for a term beginning January 31, 2017, and ending June 30, 2019.

Dr. Michael Armbruster, 54, of Winter Garden, is an educator for Orange County Public Schools. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning January 31, 2017, and ending June 30, 2017.

Jay Snyder, 56, of Orlando, is the president of Masonry Accessories, Inc. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning January 31, 2017, and ending June 30, 2018.

Robert Carlton, 43, of Saint Augustine, is the general manager of Capital Concrete and Masonry, Inc. He is reappointed for a term beginning January 31, 2017, and ending June 30, 2019

ORLANDO, Fla., March 9, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Florida Concrete Masonry Education Council (FCMEC) held a signing ceremony March 4 to signify their commitment to a program that will help fund masonry education and promotion in Florida.


The event, attended by more than 30 industry executives from various companies was held in the Masonry Lab on the Mid Florida Tech campus in Orlando.  Those in attendance witnessed industry producers A-1 Block, Argos Ready Mix, LLC., CEMEX Construction Materials Florida, LLC., Maschmeyer Concrete Company of Florida, Inc., Prestige Concrete Products, Supermix/Superblock and Titan Florida, LLC. Become the first to sign on to support the Act by voluntarily contributing to the Florida Concrete Masonry Education Council, beginning April 1st, 2015.

The council, appointed by Governor Rick Scott, is tasked with bringing together masonry manufacturers and contractors in an effort to plan and conduct training programs, improving access to masonry education, developing outreach programs to ensure diversity and informing the public about the sustainability and economic benefits of concrete masonry products.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced eleven appointments to the Florida Concrete Masonry Education Council.

Kelly Curtis, 44, of Windermere, is the vice president and general manager of Prestige Concrete Products. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning November 14, 2014, and ending June 30, 2016.

Bernardo Dias, 51, of Miami Beach, is the president of Central Concrete Supermix Inc. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning November 14, 2014, and ending June 30, 2016.

Randy Dunlap, 60, of West Palm Beach, is the president of Titan Florida LLC. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning November 14, 2014, and ending June 30, 2017.

Richard Edwards, 56, of Port Charlotte, is the area manager of Argos. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning November 14, 2014, and ending June 30, 2017.

Adam Freeman, 41, of Orlando, is the president of A-1 Block Corporation. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning November 14, 2014, and ending June 30, 2016.

Kenneth “Justin” Lord, 34, of Fort Lauderdale, is the president and chief executive officer of Central Broward Construction. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning November 14, 2014, and ending June 30, 2015.

Troy Maschmeyer, 59, of Palm Beach, is the president and chief executive officer of Maschmeyer Concrete Company of Florida. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning November 14, 2014, and ending June 30, 2015.

Antonio Obregon, 43, of Boca Raton, is the president and chief executive officer of Formrite Construction LLC. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning November 14, 2014, and ending June 30, 2015.

James Painter, 63, of Gainesville, is the vice president and chief executive officer of Painter Masonry Inc. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning November 14, 2014, and ending June 30, 2016.
