was one of thirteen industry leaders and founding members of the Council appointed by Governor Scott. Mr. Maschmeyer was nominated and elected by the Council to serve as its inaugural Chair in January 2015. At a signing ceremony held on March 4, 2015, Chair Maschmeyer commented, “We've been collectively working on this program for a very long time, and we are enthusiastic about the many benefits it will bring to the industry."

The Florida Concrete Masonry Education Council was formed in 2014 to bring together masonry manufacturers and contractors.  The Council’s mission is to facilitate masonry training programs, improve access to masonry education, develop outreach programs to ensure diversity, and inform the public about the safety, sustainability, and economic benefits of concrete masonry products. Mr. Maschmeyer will continue to serve on the Council to provide vision, insight, and enthusiasm for the benefit of the masonry industry and the people of Florida.
