Florida Concrete Masonry Education Council: Annual Board Meeting Highlights ​

June 25, 2025 – The Florida Concrete Masonry Education Council (the Council) held its Annual Meeting virtually on June 25, 2025, marking the close of another productive fiscal year. The meeting brought together Council members and partners statewide to review program milestones, financials, and strategic priorities for the year ahead.

​Key topics on the agenda included:

Board Actions and Approvals:
During the meeting, the Board approved several key items, including:

• The 2024 Independent Audit Report prepared and presented by Verdeja & Alvarez, LLP.
• The Council’s Statement of Compliance with its Memorandum of Agreement with FloridaCommerce.
• Financial reports through May 31, 2025, along with the  preliminary budget for FY 2026.
• The election of new Board officers for the 2025–26 term and the nomination of 4 new Board members.

Informational Highlights:
The meeting also featured several important updates, including:

• Second-quarter progress reports from Florida Masonry (FM) and the Florida Concrete & Products Association (FC&PA).
• A legislative briefing from Board Counsel David Ramba covering issues of interest to the masonry industry.
• Appointment of the 2025–26 Budget & Finance Committee and confirmation of authorized financial signers for the new fiscal year.

The Council also shared that its first-quarter report to FloridaCommerce was submitted and is available on the Council’s website for public review [HERE].

The meeting reinforced the Council’s mission to advance the masonry industry through education, promotion, and workforce support. With strong momentum from the past year, the Council is well-positioned to continue delivering impact across the state in 2025–26.
